I disliked that the two main characters appeared to me to have no chemistry beyond the occasional bout of magically-stimulated lust. But it was the extended battle scene that brought me closest to quitting.
ETA: If Kasia hadn't gotten her own mini story arc, I would have been seriously unhappy. That did redeem it a little.
