I'm interested in the class about aumonieres: does she think they were purpose-made as alms bags (despite the secular designs)?

The cushion
is interesting, it looks very much like the "cosmati" mosaic work in Westminster Abbey. So what does the instructor say? IS it an anomaly or sole survivor?
