Yeah, the east coast takes some getting used to, as far as peoples perceptions about 'long trips'. Under 5 hours qualifies as a day trip for me, but I know a fair number of people for whom that 2 hour limit is a hard barrier.
I have been to Courland once, back when Ellen was shopping for her first 'serious' harp. "Harp and Dragon" had some interesting examples, including double and triple-harps that made my eyes cross. Seemed like a nice town.
