The first week I was in Italy I needed to go hide in the Microprobe room to do any work, it being the only air-conditioned room in the building (and no AC in my apt). My co-workers all advised caution, as going from such a cold place to the heat of outside could make me sick. It didn't feel cold to me, so I checked the thermometer on the wall. 19 C. I never, ever got my house that warm when I was living in Tasmania. Somehow, getting sick from the "cold" didn't concern me.
