If someone pranks you, and puts your name on a list for a drawing, or free estimates for aluminum siding or whatever, the company can say that they have a relationship with you as a client, and the no-call list doesn't apply. Many companies share lists like this as favors to each other....I had a window company that wouldn't lay off me... I routinely shun these lists, drawings, free offers, and the calls for me have gotten pretty rare.
