Oh, I learned another lesson in my series that I forgot to pass on: when you get too many POVs, consider killing some of the protagonists. It has unexpected side-effects, notably getting your readers to fear for the survivor's well-being.

With just five POVs in play you don't need to do this, and given the thematic material and subgenre you're working with it'd be more than a little traumatic, but ... revolution? Protag deaths are totally a way to coerce your readers into paying attention to the big picture (even if it's a little manipulative).
