Given the prominence of similar folk tales threaded throughout the story, um...I guess you're beyond spoilers at this point. Yes. I wasn't familiar with that story, so it didn't affect my anticipation.

If I'd been familiar with it, I just might have skipped listening to the story entirely, since it adds to the sense that the story isn't doing anything original.
