Sometimes they feel necessary and sometimes they'd feel intrusive. For Daughter of Mystery, the Coda helped give a feeling of wrapping things up. Some readers considered it intrusive, but I'll admit that the ending was a bit abrupt and it helped counter that.

I'm still figuring endings out. For Mother of Souls, I both feel that the last POV chapter really stuck the landing *and* that the Coda is necessary to tie off some loose ends, so it isn't a matter of either/or.
