I expect "This isn’t so much a question as a comment" would also be a good choice for a free square, sadly.

I've had meetings where my cat would count for two squares, by first meowing loudly at the door until I let her in, and then being overly "affectionate" (often in the "I shall walk where your hands are, on this keyboard" form) once I do. Luckily this has not yet led to a third square of "speaker loses connection mid-talk".
