Something about your introductory comments to this post has me envisioning a complex colour-coded calendar system, showing the date ranges for each food plant with colours for blooming, transforming blooms to fruit, and ripe fruit. Would be really cool, and very bothersome to create and keep up to date for so many different types of plants. Heck, I am unlikely to do it, even for the much, much, much smaller assortment of edible plants in our yard.
