... jiggety jig

Made it the rest of the way home from Detroit then dragged myself in to finish a half-day of work (since I didn't have today as a vacation day). Got caught up with the phone messages, e-mail, and incidental paperwork, so maybe tomorrow I can get some real work done rather than playing catch-up.

Minor annoyance after work -- I stopped at the post office to mail some letters and when I returned to the car I discovered that the car key was entirely missing from my key ring. One moment there, the next not there. It wasn't on the ground or anywhere along my path into and out of the post office. So since I was only half a dozen blocks from home I walked there and back to pick up another key. Eventually I found the original key slipped down beside the driver's seat on the door side. The jump ring was sprung open so it must have just spiraled off the main ring and fallen when I was getting out.

So tired. Time for early bed.

Welcome home :)

I'm glad the key episode worked out all right in the end (What a PITA!)

Well, yes and no. I think it may have been karmic retribution for deciding that I was too tired from travel (and being active an extra 3 hours) to go to the gym. Ok, so it wasn't the equivalent of half an hour on the treadmill, but it sure reminded me of how much easier 6 blocks is when you do put in half an hour on the treadmill regularly.
