Not sure whether I should feel relieved or bummed but the ski trip this weekend is canceled out due to

scotica's sinus infection. The needle would have swung further over towards "relieved" if I'd found out before having done the shopping and packed, but them's the breaks. At least my other potential invited participants (other than the core group) had already canceled out for one reason or another. So I guess I get to do that writing assignment tonight and do my taxes this weekend after all.
