I had my "100,000 mile checkup" at Kaiser this afternoon. No surprises, good feedback so far. (The nurse said I had the lowest blood pressure she'd taken all day.) I got a chance to ask all those piddling little medical questions that you never consider worth making a dedicated appointment for, and some of them are getting further follow-up. I'll go in tomorrow morning for the blood work (so they get a fasting sample). The various follow-up items are:

* Dermatologist to check out a "mole with fuzzy edges" on my back. (No real concerns -- just that it's in a position where I wouldn't normally notice any changes, so best to evaluate it.)

* Orthopedist to evaluate ganglion cyst at the base of my left thumb. No biggie if they decide not to treat it, but it's in a position where it gets pressure during bike riding, skiing, and various gym exercises, so it's occasionally annoying.

* Hearing test to see if my tinnitis is causing any noticeable impairment.

* Referral to "neck class" to get some approaches to pinched nerve issues that sometimes cause numbness in my arms. (This is something that's been an issue on and off all my life. When I was a kid, I'd sometimes sleep in the wrong position and wake up to find an arm had gone entirely nerveless.)
