Oh do I understand this. Vandal has at times missed the litter box (he prefers to use the very side and sometimes overshoots -- with loose bowels) or has an explosive episode walking across the floor. That's why we won't pull up the upstairs carpet and refinish the hardwood until he's gone.
The first time our pet sitter saw him, she asked if he's always that slow. Our response: "Oh, he's trotting." Yes, Vandal, just like a real cat - only slower.
