I decided to do what?

Yesterday, in a fit of energetic madness, I decided I did want to get the living room repainted before the new floor goes in. I mentioned this to my contractor as we were going over the work and settling the bill and he says, "Well, you know ...." and gives me this LOOK. To which I responded, "You do remember that during our first discussion I added a verbal clause to the contract that if I ever uttered the phrase, 'I'll just do that myself' you were to whack me upside the head until I came to my senses." And he responds, "$XXX including paint." And I say, "Deal."

Today's lunch hour was spent with the insurance company's inspector doing the replacement-cost estimate. I got my required daily 4 rows of gathering stitches done last night. I may start adding a regular update line for that just to track my progress.
