And then again ...
Oct. 14th, 2007 10:12 pmSo now I'm feeling better about my decision to skip Crown because I woke up with the beginnings of a head cold. Lazed around in bed trying to sleep it off for most of the morning. I'd started assembling the new bed from IKEA yesterday evening then stopped when I hit the point where I'd have to disassemble the old bed, since I didn't figure I wanted to stay up as late as it would take to finish the job. Finished the job this afternoon, then continued the sleep theme by converting a bunch of flat sheets to semi-fitted. (Why do bed linen manufacturers assume that if you want a fitted bottom sheet you have an overwhelming desire to keep tucking in the end of the top sheet even so?) Listed the old bed on freecycle and got a strong nibble almost immediately.
The only fly in the ointment is that what with the new bed being queen size (plus taking up more space because it actually has a head and foot board), something had to move out of the bedroom. Currently I've moved the cedar chest out and am contemplating where it would go best. The problem is that my bedroom serves triple duty between the regular bedroom stuff, the SCA clothing, and the fiction library. Any two of those would fit nicely.
I still feel like I'm fighting off a head cold, but I suspect I won't feel bad enough to call in sick tomorrow. I'm not sure whether that's good or bad.
