Yet another gorgeous day. Let's see what's left from the list:

To-Done from list:
* Do complete backup prior to installing Leopard the preceding.
* Mow the lawn.
* Sew cushions for the bench.
I had some fabric left over from the cushions and decided to make a padded covering for the back-rest bar. This involved sandwiching the padding between the silk and the linen lining, sewing the whole into an inside-out tube, and then turning the padded tube. 12" circumference, 60" long. The process provoked analogies to wrestling a moray eel. Also bought and hemmed the draping cloth for the bench.
* Pack for next week's mid-week ski runaway (must organize with thread_walker re: details).
Packed, but logistics still to be determined.

Partially completed from to-do list:
* Go tree-shopping and find something to plant where the apple used to be.
Finished planting the stuff I bought yesterday. Need to do some on-line shopping for the tree, I think.
* Stain and finish my bench for the same.
Stain completed. Still need to Varathane.

Completed but not on to-do list:
* Reset some more bricks on the walkways. (I needed to excavate bits of the walkways to know where to plant stuff.)
* Move some misc. lumber into storage areas. The theory is that nothing is to be lying around in the yard. However the theory is also that misc. lumber should restrict itself to one particular storage cabinet and these items were too long for that one and are now in the way of the gardening shelves.
* Assemble the IKEA shelf units that are part of my new tourney kitchen set-up. Mock up a work-surface that rests on top of them -- this one is just to see how it works and a final (nice) one will come later.
* Decide I'd done enough work and go see a movie. The Other Boleyn Girl There won't be a review -- it was neither wonderful enough to squee over nor dreadful enough to mock at length. The most I'll say is that the time-compression badly distorted the historic sequence. But then, I'm also running through the mini-series The Tudors on DVD at the moment, so the time-compression necessary for a theater-length presentation is going to compare badly.

Yet To-Do:
* Do the taxes.
* Design, cut out, and sew my overgown for the Perfectly Period Feast.
* Sew the lacing eyelets on the new doublet for PPF.
* Re-fit my 15th c. hose, create a new pattern from them, and make new hose to go with the new doublet.
* Install Leopard on both the Macs.
