To-Do List for the Bonus Weekend Day
May. 26th, 2008 11:28 amYesterday was given over to assembling and breaking in the new gas grill, to completing (most of) last week's housecleaning checklist, and to popping over to SF to join
j_i_m_r, her hubby,
cnewsonsmith, and
wingedcorset to see the new Indiana Jones movie[*] at the gorgeous Castro Theater. (Complete with live organist doing intro music.) That leaves as today's to-do list:
* Mow lawn and get yard in shape for next Sunday's party.
* Make serious headway on this week's housecleaning checklist so that I'm ahead of the game. (Especially including getting all the in-progress sewing projects put away. No actual sewing is allowed today.)
* Draw up menu and shopping list for party.
* Optional: Install Leopard on the Macs. (Yeah, I know, I've tried this one before.)
* Optional: Go see Iron Man.
* Optional: List next batch of Freecycle items [**]
[*] Brief non-spoilery review: Fun, fluffy, reasonably satisfying, but I think it crossed the line between "heroic action-hero tropes that are completely implausible but just barely physically possible" and "no, I'm sorry, you're all dead dead dead ... several times over; you canna break the laws of biology, professor".
[**] Local peeps only -- I have a couple pieces of like-new luggage I'm planning to Freecycle: a dark green nylon garment bag (lots of zipper pockets in addition to the garment space); and a dark green nylon duffel bag (36" long, single interior space with no extra compartments). Each has a carrying handle and shoulder strap. If anyone wants to call dibs, I'll check back here before putting them out on the Freecycle mailing list.
