In theory I was supposed to start at my new gym today after work, but helping with the tear-down and re-set-up (for grave shift) of the Diversity Day booth (plus finishing the rewrite of the investigation report I want to close) kept me there until after seven, so I just went straight home. There's nothing like a celebration of cultural heritage at a big company with a very international staff. Lots of food, displays, activities, and four solid hours of performances: music, dance, fashion shows. The LBGT booth was quite splendid and got a lot of traffic, although by the time I went on-shift at 4pm things had seriously wound down. My shift mostly involved puttering around starting to clean up and get things packed for the move. (The day shift celebration was out on one of the main lawns, but the grave shift version is in part of the cafeteria.) But I felt I did more than my duty, putting in two hours of set-up in the morning and pitching in for the entire tear-down, move, and re-build. So -- one more to-done on the commitment list. Guess it's time to start putting together my collegium classes, right?
