The Joys of Working for a Mega-Corp

hrjNo. Seriously. After getting all these upbeat corporate messages for the last month about how successful we've been over the last year, we finally got the official rumor about the size of our "pay for performance" bonus. Nice. (I'm now thinking even more seriously about splurging on that computer projector I've been ogling.) The raises aren't bad either this year. You gotta say this for the Big B: when they do well, everybody does well.
The Youngest Brother is unexpectedly popping off to England for a couple weeks on business. I am soooo jealous. I keep trying to figure out how to get the Big B to send me off to Germany for some reason, but in the first place I'm not at a high enough level for that sort of thing, and in the second place the divisions are kept separate enough that there's really no obvious excuse available. Maybe some day they'll decide they want to have a peer-to-peer conference of conformance investigators in all the various divisions. Well, I can dream.
