Not only is the daffodil count up to a dozen, but the almond tree has started to bloom.

I'm jealous. Everything here is still white. I want summer.

I'll have a little cheese with my wine now.

The camillias are dropping their blossoms, and the almonds and mustard are in vigorous bloom already here in Concord, CA.

Hey, welcome back home. I loved your reports from Prague, especially the bits that don't seem to have changed since I was there in the late '60s.

Here it is getting nice, but we are still looking at the possibility of snow next weekend. Typical Montana winter weather, but the peaks up into the 50's are very disconcerting. Nothing blooming here, yet - usually not until late April when the major snow threat is mostly over.

Oh, how I envy you! The best so far here in the VA piedmont is that the weeping willows are brilliant gold and some buds appear to be swelling. It did get up to nearly 60 yesterday, but that's a fluke. Most of last week was in the 20s and next week is supposed to be a more normal 40s range.

The World Is A Very Big Place. Out here, we are sweltering in barely-below-freezing temperatures. And you have the first blossoms of spring.

Well, technically I have a couple of very tall squirrel feeders. :)
