I don't remember whether the goal is to only use what's in that week's CSA box, or whether foodstuffs from a previous week's box (or the market) can augment your supply. That said....

(1) Do you have an onion? If so, I would recommend roasting the green beans with garlic cloves and rings of onion, and then tossing with olive oil and balsamic vinegar (salt and pepper to taste).

(2) Dice and roast the carrots and beetroot and toss with olive oil (salt and pepper to taste).

(3) The cukes could go into a green salad with the beet tops, or into one of those sour-creamy cucumber salads, or (with the help of sugar, vinegar, red onion and chiles) a Thai-style cucumber salad.

The main goal is to eat everything before the next week's box arrives. This isn't difficult at all in terms of absolute quantity, although I'm still working on getting creative with the carrots.

I currently have most of last week's garlic still (despite putting it in something every dinner), but garlic is right out for the family get-together since my dad can't stand it. The apricots are so ripe they have to be dealt with tonight, so they're going to be dessert. The beans will keep least well, so they'll go tomorrow evening. The cukes will go into a salad sometime this weekend. I may see if there's something amusing I can do over the grill with the carrots and beets on Saturday while the planned pork roast is rotating on the rotisserie. The crookneck can pretty much go anywhere. And since I have cabbage, maybe I'll pull some of the carrots for coleslaw again.

Looks yummy, but way too high in calories for everyday.

Fair point. Perhaps as a special occasion option -- carrots seem to grow fairly well all season, so you may have an opportunity to use it, yet.

As another thought, carrots do pickle well. If you tire of them, perhaps you can put some up for this winter.

If you have a fairly small volume of carrots & your plan can handle the indulgence (or you need a vegetarian dessert), carrot halwa is way good & can be served at pretty much any temp. http://www.manjulaskitchen.com/2007/04/26/gajar-ka-halwa-carrot-halwa/ or google "recipes carrot halwa".

Not CSA related at all

You probably know this, but just in case..

When you post from your ljapp, it shows your entire address on location.

I know about it -- I could turn it off if I wanted. It would worry me more if the location precision weren't off by about half a mile.
