We haven't camped since we had the kids (now 6 and 4), but they are eager to try it. We're considering Pennsic, but we need to run through some camping events to make sure they can cope. Our basic stuff is in order, but I think I will have to make a major effort to reconnect all of the accessories - lanterns and such have been used for power outages, I don't know if I still have a stove, etc.
