Year-end Meme

hrjI've done the "first line of the first post of each month" meme a few times before but I thought I'd try something a little different. Using LJ's stats page to determine the most-page-views day of each month, here is the first line of the post that appeared to generate the largest traffic each month.
January 1 (post of 1/11): 2010 in Review The popular "review of the year" format this year seems to be links to key posts for each month (rather than last year's favorite which was the first sentence of the first post for each month). Hmm, talk about self-referentiality!
February 16 (there was a post on 2/15, but I strongly suspect it was the 2/14 post that generated the traffic): Romance and Writing So I was going to drop a whiny little facebook post to the effect of "I've got no valentine and my fictional lovers are having a fight"[1] but then I decided it would be more productive to natter on about some of the issues I run into when plotting semi-fluffy semi-serious semi-historical lesbian romance novels (never mind that so far I've only ever finished first drafts for two of them -- I've got a whole drawer full of fits and starts and research notes).
March 17 (previous post was on 3/14): Plaster Saints I've been corresponding in the last couple of days with a guy who maintains a historical website for the area that my great-great-grandfather Abiel (he of the voluminous Civil War diaries and correspondence) came from and who wants permission to include his writings, which I gave.
April 12 (post of 4/11): Well that was new and different At Coronet this weekend, thread_walker won me a rose in the Tournament of Roses.
May tie 11/24
(most recent post before the 11th was 5/1): This is not the folding bike review: 5 things make a post I wanted to catch up a little but at any moment the Honda guy may tell me my car is ready (minor routine service) so nothing too involved. I suspect the traffic may have been people getting notices that my birthday was about to come up.

June 6 (most recent post 6/5): A&S Class Cheerleading: Paint Your Own 15th Century Spanish Pottery When we did the pottery-painting sessions for the last Perfectly Period Feast, we had so much fun that I thought more people needed to share in the experience, so I volunteered to coordinate a "Paint Your Own (15th c. Spanish) Pottery class for A&S.
July 7 (most recent post 7/4): Why Yes, I Think I am up to Concord Summers Clearly the only reasonable thing to do when waking up early on the weekend is get out in the yard and do some gardening and then head off to the self-storage facility as soon as it's open to start moving loads before it gets hot.
August 25 (most recent post 8/19): Dream Journal: Wait ... where am I again? I don't usually get real-time audio intrusion in my dreams.
September 1 (most recent post 9/1): My, it's been a while since I used this filter (Dating Filter) Look, the dating filter is locked down tightly out of respect for the feelings and privacy of the people discussed therein. You don't get a quote for this one.
October 13 (most recent post 10/12): More Apple Identification For those who are curious, here are a couple of pictures of an apple from my tree.
November 12 (most recent post 11/11): Writing Progress I think I'm just going to keep my IWriSloMo posts here since nobody else seems to be using the community group.
December 16 (most recent post 12/15): Farewell Cat 21 years is a very good run for a cat.
