Took an early lunch to meet the contractor at my house and get things signed and started. In addition to the floor repair and door replacement, he's also going to fix some of the rotted boards on the back side of the house, since they impinge on the door framing. Oh, and after a couple days of heavy rain, it's bright and sunny today, which is good news for getting the work done quickly. Between this and the house insurance payment, I'm going to have to keep a close eye on the cash flow. My mad money is tied up in 6 month CDs, so the current projects have to fit into what's in the two checking accounts until the end of February when I can access one of the CDs. But it's moving at last. Now to call the chimney sweep and the flooring people.
