Suppressing my inner hoarder

As predicted, I stayed home sick today. The struggle was to avoid bustling around getting things done and I didn't succeed entirely since I have to get the living room ready for painting. This involved removing all the pictures and taking down the shelves on the wall that will become the sewing/entertainment center. This last involved tossing all the binders of old heraldic correspondence into the recycling bin (since they had to be moved somewhere). I don't really know why I've kept them this long, except that once a year or so I was able to answer some question on an old submission by virtue of having them available. But there's nothing in those binders that doesn't exist in someone else's files, and I'm so thoroughly out of the SCA heraldic registration process that it's silly to have them taking up space. I just hate throwing things out on principle. (I'd tried a couple times to find a good home for them, but nothing presented itself that didn't involve awkward logistics.) The contractor stopped by to do a little prep work for the painting, and theoretically a heater repairman should be showing up any time now. (I figured it would be good to take advantage of being home -- which seems to be a good thing because the offered window of 10:30-2:30 seems to have been wildly inaccurate, it being 4:30 now.) The pilot light works, and the thermostat makes clicking sounds, but the actual heater flame never kicks in. The patterned-gathering progress continues steadily with the first panel having 26/72 completed. For the rest: sniffle, snuffle, groan. cough.
