So do I! I'm something of a "pantser" (as it were) when it comes to sewing projects. Or maybe a better analogy is I sew like I cook: take a familiar basic recipe and modify it on the fly. Sometimes it works really well; most of the time it's definitely ok; every once in a while it ends up in the rag bag after one wearing.
