I agree, massage is well worth keeping in one's life if on can find a good masseuse. I have't found a new person to trade with since Julia moved back to Ă…land, so I really hope that she does move back north this summer, as she is considering doing.
Massage and chiropractry fall into a very different niche to physical therapy though, since the first two are other people manipulating your body with the goal of making a change for the better, while the latter, at least as I have experienced it here, is someone teaching you how to strengthen specific muscles that have been injured, or are weak compared to the neighbouring muscles, so that they can do their job properly (and without pain).
