I tried to buy a thermometer from the pharmacy a few days before lockdown. They said they were sold out. I asked if they could order any. They said the supplier was sold out.
They did actually have some paracetamol [acetaminophen] bundled with a thermometer, but I've got plenty of paracetamol so it seemed a waste on that hand, and on the other hand I figured I'd leave it for someone in greater need, if they're were at that short supply.
