I basically don't do cocktails. I mostly drink whisk[e]y, single malt, and I drink it neat. I have some tasty rye that gets that treatment, too. I do have a bottle of single male "Maryland" whisky that I just don't like neat, but I experimented with making a whiskey sour out of it and that was at least palatable. Also seemed to be not so good for my blood glucose levels.
Heck, I tend to prefer all my spirits neat as a rule. Maybe on the rocks.
