I don't know how many of the details I'll be able to dredge up from memory. Evidently when they did the recent major conservation of the embroidery, they took a bunch of photographs of the backside (although not as exhaustive as the frontside photos) -- but haven't bothered to publicize the existence of them. There were bits and pieces of evidence for the order in which things were worked and whether threads were carried over from one region of color to another or started fresh. One thing I remember was that threads were started with a knot but ended without any tie-off at all.
