Grrrr. Cat peed all over the living room floor again. (The laminate flooring at least makes it much less tragic than it might be.) From the splatter-pattern, it appears she hung her butt over the edge of the computer chair and just let go. Grrrr. Grrrr. And again I say, Grrrr. Just had to vent. Ok now.

Actually, "cat diapers" are what I call the absorbant pads I put out in front of the cat box (since her aim isn't so good these days). The silly pet supply store thinks they're for training puppies.

Have you determined if the cause is psychological (she's pissed at you, so she's going to...piss...in your area) or physical (urinary tract irritation)?

Hope she gets over it soon. Cat pee is hard to neutralize.

It doesn't appear to be an infection -- I've had cats with those before. There's no blood in the urine and it isn't at all cloudy. Some of it may be psychological (in the usual sense), but the primary problem seems to be senility. She just sort of forgets what's right and proper. The worst episode of inappropriate urination came during the period when THE FLOOR WAS EVIL. She decided to live on the kitchen counter for about a week, only coming down for essential purposes (like eating ... but only sometimes like peeing). It's very sporadic otherwise.
