Just got woken up by an amusing little earthquake. Only a 4.2 (at 4:22 -- how cute) but I'm practially sitting on top of the epicenter and it was long enough to get the heart racing a little. I'm guessing Hayward fault, although evidently a bit further south than the cluster we had last December. Once again achieved my goal of reporting it to the "Did you feel it?" web site before they had the quake listed. Nothing fell down or over, but a lot of rattling. Ok, back to bed now.

ETA: Oop, 4:42 not 4:22 -- I was half-asleep, ok?

Yeah, snapped me awake, too out here in WC. Just a little "boom" and felt things jump a tad. The cats of course were more freaked than we were.

Woke me up here in SF. Kind of a rolling shakiness. I'm mostly annoyed, as I need the sleep.

Yup, woke me up too, clock said 4:44 (but I think it's fast). Went right back to sleep, after waiting a minute for aftershocks. No damage, though a clock fell off the wall at my sister's house.
