I need a more interesting life

hrjI'm getting tired of catching up with my friends at events and all I have to say for myself is, "Uh ... my house is getting painted. Yeah. And I'm almost done cleaning out the closets!" Boring. Boring. Boring. But, in any event, the hosue painting is almost done. They have to go back and finish the parts that the carpenter only got to yesterday, but that's pretty much it. And I finished cleaning out and organizing the guest bedroom closet today. Made progress on organizing the sewing stash. Took a box of books off to the heraldry meeting for disposal, and then ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cryptocosm dropped by after the meeting to go through other remnants. The books-to-go are down to a single case. This week I think I'll freecycle the emptied bookcases and a large assortment of shelf bracket hardware.
Yesterday's Mists Bardic competition was quite delightful. Excellent performances, great food, good schmoozing (well, except for my end being boring). For me, the most memorable performance -- although perhaps the one farthest from the prototype of bardic performance -- was Vittoria's Latin grammar lesson. (It was Vergil. It was salacious. It was linguistic. I was nearly rolling in the aisles.)
