Squinting at the sky
Oct. 12th, 2007 09:57 amI'd already decided sometime earlier this week that I wasn't going to camp at Crown Tourney this weekend. I found myself thinking, "Gee, well I really ought to camp ... I mean, I've only camped at March Crown and A&S so far this year ... I suppose I should get my act together ...." and then I gave myself a good mental whack upside the head and said, "Why in the world should I do anything I'm feeling this unexcited about? Day-trip it is." And now I'm looking at the rain coming down; thinking about the drive down past Hollister for a day-trip; contemplating doing the "event with no stuff and no home base" in the rain; considering that one of the specific errands I had is right out (returning my Laurel scroll to the scribes for completion of sigs and seals -- no way am I carting it around in the wet if not necessary, I love it too much for that). And I think I'm just going to blow off Crown entirely. I need some unscheduled weekend time. I have a stack of boxes in my front entryway from IKEA that need to be turned into a new bed. I have a Collegium class to prepare for next weekend (an event I'm always more excited about than any Crown Tourney). Memo: must start energetic shilling for Collegium on the West list starting Monday.

Date: 2007-10-27 12:19 pm (UTC)I am a writer. I make up my own words a lot, but they're usually just derivatives of real words.
You, on the other hand, have a very simple way of looking at words and redoing them.
look at all those tags I can explore. I'm exploring weather and earthquakes now. That's because we don't have them. Well, we have weather, but it's not normal weather. We have a real fall that's long and lovely. Not cold and wet like usual.
But then I'm in Canada, snow country. Earthquakes...now if you have enough entries about earthquakes to create a tag for it, then this could be interesting.
And not only that, I'll learn some new words...
