The Big M Continues

When we last left our heroine she had send off the grant deed forms for signing and notarization to transfer official ownership of the house from the parents to the partnership in preparation for the main course (buying out the partnership). The Post Awful only took four days to get a first-class letter across the country, ensuring that it arrived right before a holiday weekend (well, a holiday for the county clerk's office anyway). So today was my first opportunity to spend my lunch hour dashing to downtown Oakland to hand in the paperwork for registration. Copies have been faxed to the title company and mortgage rep, although the mortgage rep seems to be busy (or sick?) today since three phone messages went unanswered. But in any event, the train is back on the main tracks and ready to roll.
