The only progress today was that the Powers of Attorney did arrive at the title company. Right after lunch I started calling and leaving messages to see what the progress was. I finally managed to catch my rep at her desk and not on the phone around 4pm. She said, "Oh, I was just listening to my messages and was about to call you." She only listens to messages twice a day? "Let me call the underwriter at the mortgage company about getting the documents sent over -- I'll call you right back." And then she was off the phone before I could remind her that the mortgage company was on Eastern Time and everybody had gone home over an hour ago. But evidently nothing at all could be done about getting the final documents until she actually had the PoAs in hand. (Well, and until I'd called and called and pushed things along.) So maybe something will happen tomorrow.
