Feast Clothes Done

I sewed down the pleat stay-tapes at etaine_pommier's sewing night tonight, then finished the hose lacing holes after I got home. So other than working the whole thing over with a lint roller (which it badly needs), my butlering clothes are ready. Which means I'm still on schedule for the week.

There will be pictures, definitely, although I'll probably post pointers rather than pictures since I won't be the photographer. There was a bit of a dilemma on the visual-recording question, with a conflict between the desire to have documentation of the project and the desire to avoid modern intrusions into the feast itself (since the whole emphasis is on the "feast as performance art" angle). I believe the current plan is to take pictures of the set-up before the formal activities start -- and I'd hope that we'd get some "staff photos" during the advance prep period as well.

"Feast as performance art"--patsmor used to lecture about that, didn't she?

Whatever the case, it's a concept I support completely. I'm not asking anyone to destroy the ambience; I just want to see your new suit :-) Posed shots are fine....
