Item: Create slide-show for Costume Lecture #1 (Surviving Garments as a Costuming Resource -- A Guided Tour)
Item: Evening social event involving movies
Item: Sunday morning bike ride with thread_walker

Should be enough to keep me busy.

BTW, am I right in remembering you made an overgarment based on a garment referred to as "Bathilde's robe"? (not the embroidered tunic). Someone over in Calontir is struggling with the cut and might contact you...

The Vallejo Music Theater has been sponsoring costume-related talks and workshops as a fundraiser (they hosted one of the Tudor Tailor presentations) and asked if I'd be interested in doing a set of lectures for them. So I'm doing a set of 3 lectures: a survey of surviving garments; "families" of garment structure and their development; and how to do costume research in under-documented cultures (using medieval Wales as the object lesson). The lectures will be on Saturday August 2 and I'll start doing some promotion soon. (As a fund-raiser for the theater, the fee isn't trivial, although I only get a token stipend ... and glory ... out of it.)

You're remembering correctly about Bathilde's robe -- the one I've made up is that black-and-white birdseye wool one that I wore last 12th night (over the embroidered tunic). The cut is definitely ... special. But it all works out once you get the trick of it.
