And on the up side ...

Well, the good news is that the new chemo they have my Mom on for her myeloma has evidently been known to result in total remission on occasion.

The reckoning

Nothing quite like balancing the charge card statement that covers the Christmas holidays (and 12th night) to induce a resolution to keep a tighter rein on spending! It didn't help that the airline delays on the Xmas trip resulted in an extra hotel night (and seduced me into a couple of restaurant "comfort food" meals that I could have skipped), and then there was the 12th night hotel, and the usual book-buying from Pastische, and somewhere in there was buying Cal Shakes season tickets, oh and plane tickets for the An Tir trip. And, of course, there was the Xmas shopping. Gah. Well, it's all paid, but ... ouch.
