Well, that sucks
Jan. 18th, 2009 11:50 amThe much-touted "free to everyone" HBO coverage of the "We Are One" inauguration concert in DC today is "free to everyone who has cable tv or a Windows computer". None of the local broadcast stations are airing the HBO feed and the web broadcast on the HBO website only works with Windows machines. Ah well, I've got the NPR broadcast and my imagination, I guess.
ETA: I'm so glad I have the excuse of "I'm trying to rest up and shake this cold" for just lolling around in bed listening to the concert. It totally rocks! (And then there are all the delicious layers of potential "message" embedded in the program and the performers. I'm still mulling over the part where they did the historic retrospective about Marion Anderson's concert on the Mall, echoing it by the performance of God Bless America with the soloists backed by the DC Gay Men's Chorus. Message anyone? I hope so.)
