Very shiny, but the patten looks just a touch too long, like the toe could slip off, or is that just the photo?
Can you hide an arch support (and maybe some padding) inside the actual shoe? That is my big beef with period footwear - completely lacking in the support department.
Those are indeed very cool shoes, and although I'd never seen that style before, I happen to have been thinking about that sort of thing and was reaching the conclusion they must have existed at some point :-).
I was Aqua on rasfc, I don't know how much our times there overlapped, but I certainly remember you.

Must have been quite some time ago, because I haven't been posting much at all for the last couple of years. (I got tired of things like getting called a liar when posting references to published academic research and then having people jump on minor wording issues in my references but not on the guy calling me a liar. Ah well, that's done with.)
But it's nice to know that I said a few memorable things on the group.
Well, we certainly have something in common then because my problem was also that I could cite peer-reviewed papers and the other person, "popular" books that have been shredded academically, and yet it was my argument that was full of holes and theirs that was insightful, daring and true science.
