Anonymous commenters who post in languages I cannot decipher with no warning, no explanation, and no self-identification will have their comments deleted. (This still leaves a lot of scope for languages I can decipher, or indecipherable posts with relevant meta-commentary.) Sorry, but I just found it borderline creepy.

I just got a comment with vaguely Japanese-looking letters, posted from an ip number in Japan. Considering that I got it on a post where I was asking for advice on a matter of language, I actually found it a bit amusing. So I made a reply...
