j_i_m_r phones you up just after you get home from work and says, "We've had a cancellation in our dinner party at Jeanne d'Arc for their Bastille Day dinner, would you like to sub in?" I strongly advise saying "yes" if you at all possibly can. Mmmmmmmmmm. There was food. (I can now check "guinea fowl" off my life-list.) There was wine. There was song -- oh, yes, there was song. There were balloons. There was unbelievable Grand Marnier souffle. Oh my. And now there is bed.
