I suppose we could have pushed to make it to 24 hours straight working on this bleeping report, but the Directors and Managers all wimped out after 21 hours. It's ok, I haven't been much good for anything but taking dictation since around 2am. I made the effort to format another one of the appendices around 4:30, but Word could tell I was exhausted and started getting obstinate. We reconvene at noon or thereabouts. That gives me a whole six hours or so to try to sleep. I'm starting to be of the opinion that an entire week of comp time wouldn't be over-generous.

My fingers are crossed for you.

As soon as your managers have signed the flaming ball of pooh it will land in my department and my managers have to scramble to meet release deadlines. I think they are all planning to show up to work around 5pm today to do their own reports and reviews.

There was at least one person hovering in the back of the room waiting for the moment when the last signature was in place to phone Italy and tell them it was "go", but I think that was for already-shipped product. If they showed up at 5, they were twiddling their thumbs for an hour or more, but it's all in motion now.

I gotta agree, even at this distance -- you and your co-workers deserve a metric $#!+load of comp time after this.
