Usually when I'm feeling stressed out at work, I look forward to my gym workout to blow it all away. Today, though, I was coming down with a nasty headache and something in my lunch wasn't quite agreeing with me (no, I don't think I have the flu) and I just came straight home. I'm aiming for another early bedtime and lots of catch-up sleep. At least today the stress at work was work. All sorts of projects with due dates today (including one investigation transferred to me just yesterday that was due to close today) that I needed to put in extensions on. Part of my discombobulation has been losing track of timelines. I found myself wishing out loud that I could have entirely brainless work to do for the rest of the calendar year. Alas, no.

Earthlink is having e-mail blockage problems today (which at least is a known problem that they're working on), but I worry about what I may not be receiving on the family front. Anything really important would come by phone, of course.

One thing I'm very proud of at the moment is that I'm still keeping up with the "IWriSloMo" program and have written at least a few pages of new material on the novel every day. Every. Day. The need to do a bunch of new plot visualization has even led me to trying to kick the audio-book-sleep-aid habit and I've done without the pre-sleep audio every night for the last week. I guess the mind-movies work just as well, as long as I have a story struggling to get out.
