The daily writing will continue, but here's the re-cap for November.

Daughter of Mystery is now up to 95,000 words (not counting the handwritten pages in the binder I left behind at the cafe at BWI on my trip back from Darkovercon which are being mailed back to me by the cafe manager) of which something around 22,000 were written this month. That averages 733/day which is better than I was averaging in the first week or so of this stint. I have 10 more "POV-lets" to complete, according to the outline. (The POV-lets don't necessarily correspond to chapters -- I'm not sure what the relationship is going to end up being.) Which means at my overall average of 2000 words per POV-let, that's a remaining 20,000 words to go, so I'm still on track to get the first draft complete by the end of December.

Story-wise, Our Heroines have had their big fight, had a political booby-trap sprung on them, are fleeing the city to have a breathing space to figure out how to answer the (not entirely) false charges against them, and have just gone through the Big Romantic Reveal.

Okay... they have a Big Romantic Reveal *after* the big breakup fight? Clearly I am behind the times on How Romances Go these days. Been awhile ;)

Trust me, it makes sense in context. It helps to keep in mind that the romantic relationship is only one of several layers of what's going on between the two. The big breakup fight is more about the conflict between friendship and the employer-employee** relationship, although it gets magnified precisely because of the as-yet-unresolved romantic tension.

**Not the best label for it, but a useful shorthand.
