My mom posted this as a reply to my previous post, but I'm moving it here so people are more likely to see it:

Lots of thanks to all the supportive friends that understand ARRGHHHH days. I got home from the hospital today - HOME IS GOOD - and am trying to confine my activities to one level of the house. I have acquired several occupational therapy gadgets that make life interesting. The hardest thing is NOT picking things off the floor after you drop them. Love to all.

I can certainly sympathise with the "one level of the house" and "not bend over" thing... when I had my abdominal surgery I became aware of all the things we do by rote.

I am glad she's home so quickly. Here's hoping that her recovery is also swift.
