One thing about working for the Big B: they take the World Cup seriously. This morning I decided to wander over to the Building 60 break room to check out Germany vs. Argentina and the room was packed. As I walked in, my first thought was, "Oh no, all those directors and VPs are going to see me slacking off watching soccer!" This was immediately followed by, "Heh. All those directors and VPs are here slacking off watching soccer." The cheering was a bit one-sided for Germany, although the director of my division was an enthusiastic, if disappointed, Argentinian fan. (Actually, if I'm remembering correctly, I think he is Argentinian -- despite the Italian given name and German surname.)

A lot of German Jews moved to Argentina.

Mad Baker's Fuzzy Upstairs Neighbor here,

Actually, Argentina is pretty much an immigrant society in much the same way the US is. It has a significant Italian-Argentinian population. It also has a noticable Welsh-descended population.
