Just had a mild quake here in the East Bay (that is, I don't know yet where it was located, but I was feeling it in the East Bay). Happened ca. 8:08 pm. If it was local, I'd say a 3-4 on the scale.

Update: the earthquake reporting site has it up now -- Santa Rosa area, 4.4. I guess I need to recalibrate a little.

And apparently a faint aftershock....

Do you ever report these things on the Felt map form?

I'm always interested in how many people in Cameron Park & Rescue feel them. We must have one of those fault connections somehow.

Oh, always! I like getting in there before they've even managed to list the quake.

Whoa, reading this gave me a weird bit of deja vu. This just reminded me that I dreamt last night there was an earthquake here in Amsterdam - severe enough that the half of our apartment where the livingroom is was about two feet higher than the rest of the apartment, and I first noticed this when I stumbled in the hall going from the livingroom out, because I didn't expect an incline. I've never been in an earthquake, but in my dream it was a very unique feeling.

That explains someting. Last night, about that time, I heard what I thought was a cat exercising her claws on something that she shoulding, causing various things to rattle. We're close enough to Santa Rosa to make the bookshelves rattle.

I'll apologise to the kitties when I get home.
